Fake dating, written about you
The wedding, the arrangement, the performance that stops being one. Read a free fake-dating sample chapter, then have your own written at the heat level you choose.
Fake dating runs on an audience. Two people agree to perform a relationship for somebody else (a family, an office, an ex at a wedding), and the performance is the safest place either of them has ever been allowed to touch the other. Everything they do can be explained away, right up until it cannot.
The engine is not the lie. It is the private moments the lie makes permissible: the hand on the back when nobody is watching, the pet name used once too often, the rehearsal that goes on after the audience has left. The best chapters are built almost entirely out of those.
Written about a real couple, it inverts nicely. You already know how you two behave in public versus alone, which of you performs more easily, and what the tell is. Those are the details the trope needs and a stranger has to guess at.
How you would ask for this
- World
- any world you like
- Twist
- Fake dating or marriage of convenience
- Heat
- tender through explicit
Everything else comes from your own interview: who is in it with you, the details only you would think to give, and the limits the story will never cross.
Have one written with you as the lead.
A short interview, your own heat setting, and chapters that arrive built from your details. A person reviews every one before it reaches you.
