My Steamy Story is a personalized fiction service. The whole product runs on things people tell us about their own lives, so it matters that we are plain about what we hold and where it goes.

This page describes what the product collects today, not a future version of it.

Your account

Creating an account takes an email address and a password, and a confirmation that you are 18 or over. We store the address, the date you confirmed your age, and nothing else about you until the interview. The address is confirmed by email before the account can be used, which is also how we keep one free chapter to one person rather than one throwaway address.

The interview

Once you are in, you answer a twelve step interview about your own story. It is intimate by design: names and pronouns, who is in the story and where it lives, how each of them actually sounds, the heat level and the acts you want written, the dynamics between them, the hard limits the story will never cross, and anything else you choose to add in your own words. You decide what goes in. We use those details to write your chapters, and for nothing else.

How your chapters are written

Your interview answers are sent to our AI writing provider, a third party service we use to draft chapters from what you have given us. Before a chapter reaches you, a human operator reads it and may edit it. Edited passages are kept in a private record so we can improve how chapters get written. That record is not shown to anyone outside My Steamy Story.

Your library

Delivered chapters are stored in your private library, visible only to you, and you can download any of them as a PDF. We do not show your chapters to other customers or use them as samples without asking you first and getting a clear yes.

Reading your chapters

When you open a chapter, we record how far down the page you got, roughly how long the page was open, and whether you reached the end. That is the whole of it: one running total per chapter, kept so we can offer to put you back where you stopped, and so we can tell which stories people finish and which ones lose them. We do not record which passages you read, how fast you read them, when you read, or how many times you came back. If a chapter was a gift, your reading is yours and the person who bought it is not shown it.

We do not sell your data

Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to anyone. The only people who see your details are the ones needed to produce and review your chapters, plus the service providers who host the site, run the AI writing, and send the mail.

How long we keep it

We keep your account, your interview answers, and your chapters until you ask us to delete them. There is no automatic expiry.

Deletion

Write to hello@mysteamystory.com and ask us to delete everything, and we will. That covers your account, your interview answers, your chapters, and the reading record described above. You do not have to give a reason.

Adults only

My Steamy Story is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18, and we will delete it if we find it.

Payments

Payments are by card and are handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor, on their own pages. We never see or store card numbers: what we keep is the purchase itself (the plan or pack, what was paid, and when) attached to your account, because that record is what grants your chapters and backs your refund rights.
